Bad Girls (Essay Sample) Content: Your nameProfessors nameCourse:Date: Bad GirlsA bad girl in todays society is a girl who breaks the rules that define how an upright lady should behave or portray herself to the society. A bad girl often gets into trouble and does not follow a societys rules as good girls do. In the movie bad girls there are four prostitutes who work in a saloon in the old west. They girls were friends who always looked out for each other during the course of their dangerous line of work. One of the factors that qualify the girls to be considered as outlaws was the fact that they practiced their prostitution in dangerous places that were used or entertainment within the movie. The girls were good friends and they got into trouble when Anita, one of the girls, got into an argument with a customer. Such a scenario shows the outlaw nature of Anita. This is because, despite the fact that she was a woman, she was able to stand up to a man despite the existence of the possibility that the ma n would overpower if a fight occurred between them. The woes of the four girls started start when Cody, who another prostitute, shot a customer who was too rough with Anita. This is a classic example of the outlaw nature that the prostitutes had. The fact that Cody had the guts to shoot a person without having any guilt shows that she was truly a ruthless person who could be considered an outlaw. This shows the danger that existed in Anitas line of work. However, Cody proceeded to shoot a customer to protect Anitas. Moreover, this action was supposed to show all the other men at the four prostitutes were not just normal weak girls who couldnt protect themselves. Instead it acted as a proof that the four prostitutes were bad girls who people could not mistreat as they wished despite he fact that the y were prostitutes. However, the system was impartial and the Jury that was responsible for deciding the case ruled that Cody deserved to be hanged due to the crime she had committed. In todays justice system if the case went to trial, a reasonable judge would rule that Codys action were justifiable. However, in the movies setting, the justice system was not fair it is today. Due to the negative view that the members of the public had concerning prostitution, they decided to sentence Cody to a death through hanging. After a close and careful scrutiny of the society, it is not in a womans place to defy orders given to her. Thus after the passing of this sentence, it is expected for Cody, a woman with no social standing to hang without a fight and that everyones life would continue normally. Her friends, however, refused to allow her to be killed. Instead, the girls decided to take part n a dr amatic rescue mission to ensure that Cody was not killed. After the rescue, the girls rode of to the mountains. The fact that the four girls had the courage to organize and effect a rescue mission acts as proof of the outlaw nature that they had.
